PE40 Pipe Compound

Description

PE40 Polyethylene Pipes
PE40 grade polyethylene pipes are among the earliest generations of polyethylene used in water supply and irrigation industries. Combining acceptable mechanical properties with economic pricing, they remain widely used in many agricultural and low-to-medium pressure water transfer projects.
Due to their suitable flexibility, light weight, and corrosion resistance, these pipes are an efficient choice for surface irrigation systems, drip irrigation, raw water transfer, and water distribution in farms and orchards.

Scientific and Technical Features of PE40 Pipes

  • Working pressure resistance up to 4 to 6 bar (depending on size and thickness)
  • Standard outer diameter according to DIN 8072 / 8074
  • Made from low to medium density polyethylene (LDPE/MDPE)
  • High flexibility and resistance to stress cracking
  • UV resistant with added stabilizers
  • Chemically inert; resistant to weak acids, agricultural fertilizers, and minerals present in water
  • Quick and easy installation with minimal cost and no complex fittings required

Industrial and Agricultural Applications
PE40 irrigation pipes are used in various sectors of water and agriculture industries:

  • Drip irrigation in farms and orchards
  • Water distribution in greenhouses and hydroponic cultures
  • Raw water transfer from ponds, wells, or surface sources
  • Water distribution networks in flat or sloped agricultural lands
  • Low-volume distribution of agricultural wastewater or drainage water

Comparison of PE40 with Other Polyethylene Grades
